Websites that connect countries

I make websites for Rotary and Rotaract clubs, non-profits, events and small businesses. I do the whole thing myself: I work out the structure, write the copy, design it, build it and put it online. You talk to the same person from the first call to launch day.

Somebody is going to search for you this week. Let them find something worth reading.

— Start here

What is your site for?

Pick one. Each page has a before/after, real projects, the reasons a site pays for itself, and a one-minute test.

— Quick quiz

Do you need a website?

Seven questions. You get a score out of 100 and a straight answer on whether a site is worth paying for right now. Sometimes the answer is no.

— About

Hi, I'm Alexandra.

Every site in this portfolio was designed and built by me. There's no agency behind this page and nobody I hand the work off to.

This year I'm president of a Rotaract club, which is the reason the non-profit prices here are lower. I know what a club gets out of a site that works. I also know how much time a volunteer board doesn't have. Most of my other clients are small businesses and people who work for themselves. We've never met in person and it hasn't mattered: we talk on calls, and I send drafts you can click through in a browser.

— Reach

Your next member could be anywhere.

A partner club on another continent, a client in a time zone you've never worked in, a volunteer who moved last year. They all find you the same way, by typing a name into a search box.

Partner route Continental hub
01 — Approach

I start with who is reading, then decide what goes where.

Club volunteers and paying customers want different things from a page. I've written for both, and I know they don't read the same way.

01

Meaning before form

Before I draw a single screen, we agree what the site is supposed to get people to do. That might be joining the club, booking a call or signing up for the gala. The layout comes from that.

02

More than one language, if you need it

I've built bilingual sites from scratch, with the language switch, the typography and a tone that suits each audience. A translated menu on its own doesn't make a site bilingual.

03

Motion as a tool

I use animation to show what matters first and what comes next. If something moves and doesn't help anyone read the page, I take it out.

— Find your price

What kind of site are you looking for?

Choose the closest match. Each page has prices, examples and a calculator that gives you a rough figure before we talk.

02 — Portfolio

Five projects I built myself.

These are live sites. Each one had a job to do, and the numbers in the cards come from after launch.

This site Screenshot of the A.G. Studio homepage

A.G. Studio

The site you're on. It has a world map you can play with, a pricing section and a quiz that ends with an actual price estimate.

Canvas 3DMotionSelf-hosted proof
Goal

Present the work itself as proof of the craft — a designer's own site is the first thing a prospective client judges.

What I did
  • Full copywriting, structure, and pricing model across every section
  • Animated Canvas dot-field hero, built from scratch — no template or plugin
  • Project previews taken from the real live sites
  • Interactive world map, an animated pricing model, and a quiz that routes to a live price estimate
Club · RU/EN Screenshot of the Rotaract Moscow-East club homepage

Rotaract Moscow-East

A club site in two languages. It covers the club's history back to 2006, its partner clubs abroad and a small grant scheme for members' projects.

i18nHistoryGrants
Goal

The club had no website at all — no way for prospective members to learn what it does or apply to join.

What I did
  • Bilingual (RU/EN) structure and copy throughout
  • Club history timeline since 2006
  • Live membership application form
  • Public projects and events calendar
  • Grant system for member-led projects
Impact
3 membership applications, first 2 weeks live 230+ elements translated, homepage alone
Memorial · Archive Screenshot of the publications page on annapolitkovskaya.com

In Memory of Anna Politkovskaya

A memorial site for the journalist. It holds her biography, her articles sorted by year from 1998 to 2006, and a page where her former neighbours can back a memorial plaque on her building.

ArchiveSEORU/EN
Goal

Her work was scattered across old newspaper pages and press mentions. I wanted one place that tells her story plainly, and a way for people to sign up in support of the plaque.

What I did
  • Publications archive with a filter by year
  • Biography, photo gallery and a page for the civic campaign
  • Russian and English versions
  • Structured data, so search engines know who the page is about
Impact · first 3.5 weeks, Search Console
8,207 impressions in search 882 on the best day
Landing · Armed forces Screenshot of the JPU Forces landing page

JPU Forces Fast-Track

A landing page for a property education company, written for people serving in or leaving the armed forces. It has an intro animation and an assessment that ends in a call booking.

LandingCopySEO guides
Goal

The company's usual pitch didn't speak to service personnel. This page talks to them in their own terms, and the guides bring them in from search.

What I did
  • Copy and structure for one specific audience
  • Animated intro and a timeline comparison
  • Three long SEO guides linked from the page
  • A plain-text version of the page for AI search tools
Property · Auctions Screenshot of the James Property Auctions sell page

James Property Auctions

A site for a property auction house, with separate pages for sellers and buyers and a blog. The sell page shows how bidding pushes a price up on a live chart.

Sell / BuyBlogCharts
Goal

Sellers and buyers want different things from an auction house. Each gets its own page, and the blog answers the questions people type into Google before they sell.

What I did
  • Sell and Buy pages with their own forms
  • Animated bidding chart and valuation flow
  • Six blog articles with RSS and a sitemap
  • A small build script so new posts take minutes
— Before / After

What changed after the site went live.

Three kinds of project. Swipe or use the arrows.

The club numbers are real and come from the site's first two weeks. I've no data yet for the other two slides, so they describe the usual situation.

03 — Pricing

Why a club pays less than a business

Every package includes the copy, the SEO and the build. These are starting prices. I give you the real number after we've talked through what you need.

✦
Why there are two price lists

A club site isn't any quicker to build.

A Rotary club gets the same work from me as a company does. I don't cut anything. The price is lower because I'm a Rotaractor myself, and this is my way of giving something back.

One club site can bring in the member who goes on to run the next fundraiser, and that fundraiser can buy a wheelchair, a school lunch programme or a well. I'd rather that happened.

Research pages for a scientist, a lab or a university project go on the same lower rate, because I think good research deserves to be easy to find.

Business projects pay the standard rate, and that's what makes the discount possible.

— Alexandra

Non-profit rate: for registered Rotary and Rotaract clubs, other non-profits and academic or research pages. The struck-through figure is the standard price for the same package. Prices exclude VAT and include the first year of hosting and the domain.

Why "from," not a fixed number?

Because two sites in the same package can be very different jobs. The number moves with how many pages there are, how much text I write from scratch, what has to plug into the site (payments, bookings, a CRM) and how much custom animation you want. After one call I can give you a figure.

Curious exactly what's inside each tier? The breakdown below opens up section by section.

What's included, in detail

1 Design & structure
  1. 1.1 Custom layout built for your content — no page-builder templates
  2. 1.2 Responsive design across mobile, tablet, and desktop
  3. 1.3 Motion and interaction design, scaled to the tier
2 Copywriting & content
  1. 2.1 Page-by-page copy written from your brief, or edited from what you provide
  2. 2.2 Tone that fits who is reading: club members, customers or academics
  3. 2.3 Bilingual or trilingual content where the tier includes it
3 SEO & technical setup
  1. 3.1 On-page SEO — meta data, heading structure, sitemap
  2. 3.2 Search Console setup and a first-look audit once live
  3. 3.3 Core Web Vitals and load-speed optimization
4 Integrations & marketing
  1. 4.1 Forms, maps, booking, or payment as the project needs
  2. 4.2 Analytics setup, so you can see what's working
  3. 4.3 Marketing recommendations for how to use the site after launch
04 — Process

Four steps from idea to launch.

Most sites take two to four weeks. You see the design before I build anything.

01

Brief & structure

We talk about who the site is for and what you want them to do. Then I plan the sections and write a first draft of the text.

02

Design concept

I show you the colours, fonts and the main screens. Nothing gets built until you've said yes.

03

Build & motion

I build the site and check it on phones, because that's where most of your visitors will be.

04

Launch & support

The site goes live on your domain. You get every login and a short guide on how to edit things.

— FAQ

Questions worth answering upfront.

How long does a project take?

A one-page site usually takes one to two weeks. A multi-page club or business site runs two to four weeks, depending on how quickly content and feedback come back to me. Signature-tier projects with custom animation take longer and get a specific timeline after the brief.

My site already looks fine. Why would I need this?

Maybe you don't. Ask yourself one thing: in the last three months, did anyone get in touch because of the site? If they did, leave it alone. If nobody did, we can look at why on a free call.

What do you need from me to start?

A filled-in brief, your logo and any brand colors if you have them, and whatever content already exists — text, photos, past materials. If content isn't ready, that's fine too; we scope copywriting into the project instead.

Do you write the content, or do I need to?

Either. If you have text ready, I structure and edit it for the web. If you don't, I can write it from scratch after a short call — that's factored into the price as copywriting, not assumed to be free.

I'm not sure which package fits. What do I do?

Leave your number in the form below. Over a short call I'll suggest a package and a price range, and you're not committing to anything.

Can I ask for changes after the site is live?

Small edits and content updates, yes — those are quick. Bigger structural changes are scoped and quoted separately, the same way the original project was.

Do you work with clients in other countries?

Yes, all my work is remote. We talk over Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp, at a time that suits your time zone, and you review drafts in your own browser. Prices are in euros, and I can invoice in another currency.

Who owns the site once it's finished?

You do. The files, the domain, the hosting account — all of it stays under your name and your control. I build it, you own it outright.

Is hosting included?

Yes. Hosting, domain registration, and deployment are included in every price tier — I set it all up as part of the build and walk you through it, with nothing extra to pay to get live.

Can a club start small and add to the site later?

Yes. A lot of clubs start with Foundation and add pages, a second language or online payments a year later. You keep the non-profit rate.

Let's talk about your site.

Leave your number and a good time to call, and I'll ring you back. It's free and takes about twenty minutes. If it's quicker, message me on WhatsApp or email alexgranovskaia@gmail.com.
